Anita is a physiotherapist with experience in geriatric care, cardio-respiratory rehabilitation, neurological physiotherapy and asthma management education. She has worked in both acute and sub-acute hospital settings, helping patients recover from illness, surgery, and long-term health conditions affecting mobility and breathing.
Anita holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Monash University, having previously worked as a microbiologist. She has worked across various areas of rehabilitation, including:
- Geriatric Rehabilitation – Supporting older adults to maintain mobility, balance, and independence.
- Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehabilitation – Assisting people recovering from heart and lung conditions by providing exercise programs and education to improve breathing and overall fitness.
- Asthma Management Training – Educating patients on breathing techniques and managing symptoms more effectively.
- Post-Surgical & Neurological Rehabilitation – Helping people regain strength and movement following surgery, stroke, or other neurological conditions.
- Long-term management of neurological conditions in the community
Anita has ample experience in training staff and students.
Anita’s focus is on practical, evidence-based physiotherapy tailored to each individual’s needs. She works closely with patients to help them breathe more easily, move more confidently, and regain independence, whether recovering from a recent hospital stay or managing a long-term condition.
With additional training in massage therapy, Anita also integrates hands-on techniques where appropriate to support recovery and comfort.
