Principal Physiotherapist – Chantelle Morrissey

Chantelle Morrissey is an experienced physiotherapist with over a decade of diverse clinical experience across the public, private, and community health sectors. Graduating with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) from Monash University in 2015, she also holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne, where she majored in Neuroscience, Anatomy, and Physiology. Chantelle later completed a Master of Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne, with additional training in paediatric rehabilitation and continence management.

Chantelle is the Founder and Principal Physiotherapist at Peninsula Community Physiotherapy, where she leads a multidisciplinary team delivering services across paediatrics, neurological rehabilitation, disability care, and women’s health.

Her clinical expertise spans:

  • Neurological rehabilitation (including stroke, brain injury, multiple sclerosis, and post-chemo fatigue and neuropathy)

  • Pelvic health and continence physiotherapy, including antenatal/postnatal care and lactation-related musculoskeletal issues, as well as disability related continence needs

  • Paediatric physiotherapy for children with developmental delays, delayed toileting, DCD, Autism, ADHD, and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome

  • Functional Capacity Assessments and reporting for NDIS participants with complex physical and psychosocial needs

  • Assistive technology prescription, equipment recommendations and wheelchair prescription

  • Dry needling and pain science-informed practice for chronic pain conditions

  • Aged care and mobility support, particularly for individuals with cognitive impairment, dementia, or reduced functional capacity

Chantelle is especially passionate about working with neurodivergent clients and supporting children and adults with co-occurring conditions such as Autism, ADHD, EDS, and coordination difficulties as well as neurological conditions. Her integrative, client-centred approach draws on both evidence-based practice and a deep understanding of each individual’s lived experience.

In addition to her clinical work, Chantelle has significant leadership and supervision experience, providing support and training to physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and allied health assistants. Her practice philosophy is centred on building capacity, promoting independence, and ensuring care is both compassionate and functionally relevant.

Outside of her professional life, Chantelle is a mother of four and enjoys running, swimming, and spending weekends at the beach with her children and German Shepherd.
